*Handy Hint of the Day*

If you are eating a jam sandwich, and you have some peanut butter handy, why not add the peanut butter to your jam sandwich to make a peanut butter and jam sandwich, for a delicious treat.

I have a nut allergy like many others. I am quite worried about your reckless advice which could lead other people like me to put something in their sandwich that might actually cause them death.

Perhaps your next post will advise young mothers to put arsenic in their baby's formula milk for a 'refreshing kick'?

It may interest nobody to know, that this recipe bears significant resemblance to one found in my old family cookbook - which dates back to before the 100 years war!

Of course, peanut butter was hard to come by in those days (it hadn't yet been invented!), and so gangrene - which has a distinct nutty smell - was used. Also, jam had yet to be invented (so was very hard to come by), and so lumps of straw - along with whatever berries-or-fish could be found - substitute the strawberry jam.

If anyone is interested, the cookbook can be found on ancient'recipies'dotcom.com/ishitjam.html
